Todd Stevison

Lead Pastor

Hey guys!

I absolutely love the privilege of serving in Jesus’ Public Church. I’m also so grateful to do what I love alongside the lady I love, my gorgeous wife, Whitney. Jesus has used Public Church to give us the opportunity to serve, lead, and invest in others together, which is something we have always wanted.

Of all the roles in my life, my top is Jesus follower. My next two are husband and dadda. Whitney and I have three children: Liam, Oliver, and Ella. The boys are toddlers, and Ella is a newborn, so our house is full of energy and life. These roles supersede my role through the church because an unhealthy marriage holds Whitney back and robs our children of the stability they need. I also know that neglecting my family would negate anything I do in my role with Public Church. Yes, parenting is difficult and challenging, but so worth it to invest in and ultimately unleash our kids into the world. We pray that Jesus does immeasurably more in and through our marriage and in and through Liam, Oliver, and Ella.

For Jesus’ Public Church, my role is serving as our Lead Pastor, which provides me the privilege of living out some of my biggest passions. One of my favorite things to do is study and then communicate God’s Word in an authentic and practical way – the entire process of preparing and giving a talk fires me up! I also enjoy almost everything related to vision, including casting and implementing vision, knowing that God’s plans are always bigger than ours. In addition, I am passionate about leadership, and this season is providing new ways to grow in my leadership. Finally, I value the time I get to spend with my friends who don’t follow Jesus. An essential part of my role is pursuing people who are considered lost and valuable to God. My time with them makes me better, and I hope that they are seeing Jesus’ love for them through my love for them.

Whitney and I both love coffee, exercising, and traveling, and I’m grateful that we share these passions. She is also an avid pickleball player, and I enjoy but am a novice. (If we ever get to play, pick Whitney over me!) Whatever we are doing, here is our family vision: wherever we are, we embrace the journey of following Jesus.

Cody Disney

Worship Pastor

Hey hey hey everyone!

Cody Disney here, and I’m excited to give you a little glimpse into this life of mine. To look back and see how God has been working in my life from the very beginning is truly amazing. He has been faithful in all of my highs and lows and I have no doubt that he will continue to be faithful in all that lies ahead. One of the best highlights in my life was marrying my beautiful wife and best friend Hannah in 2012. Hannah and I both grew up in Cleveland and truly love this place we call home. Hannah is a gifted teacher, incredible mom, and patient wife, although I know I push this at times :). Most of all she points me and everyone around her towards Jesus on a daily and constant basis.  In 2017 we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Annie, our “Annie Girl”.  Annie is full of life and loves people! In 2019 our son Jackson, “Jacky-Jack” was born. Jackson is always on the go and loves to laugh! My family means the world to me and I never want to take for granted how blessed I am to have them! I also love sports-GO VOLS, travel, the outdoors, and a good cup of coffee; especially from my pals at BonLife.

Another huge highlight in my life is getting to be a part of this incredible piece of the Kingdom of God through serving at Public Church. Having the privilege to serve as our Worship Pastor is one of my greatest passions.  For as long as I can remember music has been a huge part of my life. Worshiping through music opened my eyes to the freedom that is found in surrendering one’s life to the all sufficient Savior. Music is a unifying and powerful force in and of itself, but it becomes something even more amazing when channeled to give praise and honor to Jesus! I have grown to understand that worship is also played out in the everyday details of how we choose to live our lives.  It is my prayer that whether it be in our worship space on Sunday’s, or wherever you find me throughout the week, that I will be found worshiping the one who gave it all for me. In doing so, I hope to be able to lead others to do the same.

Jade Morgan

Connect & Serve Director

Hello!

My role within Public Church as the Connect & Serve Director is something only Jesus could do. I taught special education for thirteen years in the local public school system before stepping into full time ministry. I have always felt a unique calling to serve “the least of these” & God continues to confirm that every day. I seek to steward my position at Public Church by overseeing Community Groups, Local & Global partnerships, as well as seeking out opportunities to serve.

I came to Public Church early in 2014, shortly after PC launched. I immediately felt a sense of belonging & acceptance into Jesus’ family that I had not encountered before. That April I participated in baptism, which was a defining moment in my life. I grabbed onto the Lord in full surrender & He began showing me that His way is better than my way every time.

Community has been a vital part of my journey in finding my place & purpose as a Jesus Follower. God surrounded me with authentic people who intentionally sought me out & pushed me closer to Jesus with every turn. My response was, & remains, helping people find their place & purpose in Jesus’ church. I have a burning desire for every person who enters the doors of Public Church to feel a connection to Jesus & His people - no matter their past. I strive to utilize my current stage of life, & the availability that brings, to connect people to Jesus & each other inside of Public Church & within the community.

As a Cleveland native from birth, I am immensely blessed to have my family here locally. My two nieces & two nephews are so fun to love on, & at times, spoil! We at PC often joke about our extended being around the world, & it is indeed true!  After multiple short term mission journeys, I have grown to love the Romanian people & their culture, plus our newly formed partnership in Northwestern Europe. Spreading the love of Jesus near & far & forming long-lasting relationships has blessed me richly. We need each other.
