Next Generation Teams
At Public Church, we love children and the opportunity to invest in the Next Generation! All of our Next Generation Teams strive to implement our God-given vision with children through three simple goals:
1. Foster a safe and welcoming environment.
2. Invite our children to embrace the journey of following Jesus through fun, Biblical, and Jesus-centered activities.
3. Partner with parents in the disciple-making journey.
Every Next Generation Volunteer must complete a background check before they can serve our children, and we provide hands-on and continuous training for them. We hope that your children love to come and are pushing you out the door on Sundays!
We are always looking for more volunteers, so if you want to serve on one of our Next Generation Teams, Click here.
Birth - 5th Grade
Sprouts (Birth – pre-K)
We offer Sprouts during all our gatherings, and we achieve our three goals through incredible volunteers and areas designed for our children’s age-specific needs (Infant Room, Walker Room, and Pre-K Room). Children ages 2 and up enjoy a brief Bible lesson, songs, activities, and the chance to play with their friends!
We also offer a private nursing room for mothers.
Roots (Grades k-5)
We offer Roots during every gathering, and we achieve our three goals through incredible volunteers and engaging lessons that make the Bible come alive! Roots meets in our annex building to provide the children plenty of space to move around and make lots of noise! Currently grades 1-5 meet together, which provides our older children with good leadership opportunities.
Middle School and High School Students
As a Public Church, we want to go to students rather than waiting for them to come to us! Therefore, we are launching on-campus ministries at our local schools. We are lining up adults and college students to go to campuses during lunch and begin building relationships with students.
We offer our High School Community Group on Wednesdays at 6:30 in the Annex. This is an opportunity for all of our students to worship Jesus and connect with each other. We provide relational and relevant discussion centered on Jesus and God’s Word that addresses the issues students encounter on a daily basis.
